The Storyboarder Terms of Service - Last Updated October 2024

We here at The Storyboarder are passionate about our work and what it takes to produce the highest quality video product for your project. Client satisfaction is top of mind in everything we do, and we always strive to set clear expectations from the start of each project to ensure our mutual success.

The video production and editing services (herein referred to as “Video Services”) provided by The Storyboarder shall be governed by the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.

These Terms of Service are used to provide our clients with information about our process and policies followed throughout our project relationship to help set and manage your expectations. The Video Services offered are subject to your acceptance, without modification, of all the terms and conditions contained herein and all other rules and policies (including, without limitation,  our Privacy Policy) and other policies or procedures that may be published from time to time on this website by The Storyboarder (collectively referred to as the "Agreement").

The Video Services herein are made available for lawful purposes, to persons at least 18 years of age. You may only contract Video Services if you are able to form a binding contract with The Storyboarder. If you are accepting these Video Service Terms on behalf of an organization, company, government, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so. You may only contract our Video Services from The Storyboarder after accepting these Terms of Service. Please read this Agreement completely and carefully before agreeing and placing an order with The Storyboarder to provide Video Services

Portfolio & Samples
Unless you have explicitly requested a Non-Disclosure Agreement ("NDA"), you hereby grant The Storyboarder a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, license to use the finished video project in our project highlight reel visible on our website for the purposes of marketing and promoting The Storyboarder Video Services.

Draft and Finished Video Delivery
Videos will be delivered in a digital format using a URL link sent via email allowing you to download and view.

Number of Revisions
The Storyboarder includes up to 3 rounds of review and revision by the client. However, our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction. Additional edit rounds are available at an additional cost - with pricing varying based on the extensiveness of the requested revisions, current availability, and desired turnaround date. Your editor will be able to confirm pricing with you during your initial quoting or upon request during development. Edit rounds are offered on a "per video" basis, where one additional edit round would apply to one video.

Watermarks
The Storyboarder uses a watermark on all videos shared with clients during the project lifecycle. Once final payment is received, the watermark will be removed and made available for download by the client.

Sales Quote Process
Clients generally engage The Storyboarder for a project quote by submitting a request from our website at https://thestoryboarder.com/services or sending a request via email to: contact@thestoryboarder.com . Once a request is received, you will be contacted by a member of our team to discuss the specifics of your project, including size, scope and elements of your finished project. These details will be used to create a formal quote that is sent via email for the client to review, acknowledge and provide written acceptance via email.

Payment Terms
Upon client acceptance of a quote, The Storyboarder will issue and deliver an invoice for the Video Services outlined in the quote with a 50% non-refundable deposit required before starting work.

The Storyboarder accepts popular forms of payment including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Apple Pay. Payment can be easily made online using our secure payment process while viewing your invoice online. The Storyboarder uses accounting and payment services from https://Intuit.com a trusted partner and leader in their field. Intuit maintains the highest levels of security across their platform and have achieved and maintain PCI compliance for their payment processing platform. When the client has approved the final edit of their video(s), a final invoice will be sent for the remaining balance of payment due. The Storyboarder will deliver the final video project without watermark upon receipt of final payment.

Project Schedule & Availability
Availability is generally on a "first come, first serve" basis. We can usually get started on your project within 5 business days of receiving an accepted quote and payment for deposit. We can sometimes make arrangements to accelerate start and completion of your project and will strive to do so when possible. Project schedule is always discussed and included in our quote process.
